PHOTOGRAPHING MY FAVORITE PERSON

One of the most exciting asks I’ve ever had is from my friend and former roommates Jim and Amy when they called to see if I would do a photoshoot for they’re newborn Jade.

Jade turned out to be the ideal subject. Beyond being undeniably adorable, she was incredibly calm and easygoing throughout the shoot. That rare combination makes for a dream session—when the vibe is peaceful, and every moment feels like a chance for something great to unfold.

Because of that, as the photographer I knew I had to bring my A-game. We aimed for a tone that was sweet and intimate but with a bit of atmosphere, something that would reflect Jade’s quiet charm. The goal was to create more than just pretty pictures—to tell a little story, soft and honest, like her.
