CONNECTING WITH OTHERS THROUGH IMAGES

Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph my friends Chris and Ellen during a major moment in their lives—their engagement. It’s always an incredible experience to photograph an engagement, not just because of the occasion, but because of the way we’re able to use our artform to create a moment, a deeply personal and joyful experience for two people I care about.

One thing that I have always loved about photography, especially when it comes to capturing life’s big milestones. There's something powerful about being able to freeze a moment in time, preserve big emotions and give a memory to someone. It’s more than just taking pictures—it’s about storytelling, emotion, and connection.

What I love most about shooting moments like engagements is the chance to celebrate with people and share in their happiness. Being behind the camera allows me to connect with others in a unique and meaningful way, using art to reflect the joy, love, and excitement they’re feeling in that moment.
